We may use the information you provide to us in the following ways:
- For disclosure of medical tests and/or medical reports to others involved in your health care, including specialists, referring doctors and allied health professionals.
- For administrative purposes in the normal running our medical practice, including medical record and account management and Medicare or Health Insurance Commission compliance.
- In the case of plastic surgery, stored records may also take the form of clinical photographs. Images and medical records are used to assist the surgeon with your clinical management. De-identified data or images may also be used for surgical audit and clinical research as a normal part of good medical practice.
This practice complies with Privacy Legislation including the Victorian Health Records Act 2001 and the National Privacy Amendment Act 2014, which require that informed voluntary consent be obtained as soon as practicable after health information is collected and access be provided to the patient where requested and appropriate.
